Woman Abuse Council of Toronto (WomanACT) has been providing coordination, planning and community mobilization in Toronto since 1991. Today, we are a charitable organization with a membership of organizations and individuals working to end violence against women through system change.
WomanACT envisions a world where all women are safe and have access to equal opportunities
WomanACT works collaboratively to eradicate violence against women through community mobilization, coordination, research, policy and education.
Our strategic plan for the next four years is focused on deepening our impact, growing our partners, expanding our education, and getting better at measuring our work.
We take an integrated approach to making change. Our goal is to create lasting and systemic change through knowledge, collaboration and policy change.
We are a feminist organization and challenge the systems that reinforce inequalities.
We support and learn from diverse voices, perspectives and approaches to find effective system responses and solutions.
We work across sectors and with communities to learn from each other and strengthen our collective impact and outcomes.
We value continuous learning and embrace bold and evidence-based solutions that result in meaningful system change.
We value integrity and hold ourselves accountable to our stakeholders and our communities.
