Literature Review on Risk and Risk Assessment Tools for Intimate Partner Violence

The assessment of risk factors is a common practice in the violence against women sector to identify the likelihood of repeat or escalated violence. Often through the use of actuarial tools, practitioners ask survivors a set of questions that have been developed through research to identify their risk of harm.

The literature review is part of our larger research into multi-agency approaches to reducing high-risk domestic violence. It explores existing literature on risk-assessment tools and factors for intimate partner violence.
