Request for Proposal: Violence Against Women (VAW) Lead Organizations for the Canadian MARAC Pilot Project

We are pleased to share this funding opportunity from WomanACT for two (2) Toronto-based Anti-Violence Against Women (VAW) organizations to serve as lead implementing partners for the Canadian Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) Pilot Project.

Opportunity Highlights
Funding: Up to $95,600 per organization over 18 months
Project Duration: January 2026 – March 2027
Focus: Lead MARAC implementation at Rexdale and York FOCUS Toronto Situation Tables
Purpose: Enhance coordinated, multi-agency responses to high-risk intimate partner violence cases

Eligibility Requirements:
VAW-focused mandate with minimum 3 years of IPV service experience
Service delivery capacity in Toronto (Rexdale/York communities)
Demonstrated experience in multi-sectoral collaboration
Strong organizational capacity and commitment to equity and inclusion

Key Dates:
Application Deadline: January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST
Notification of Selection: January 30, 2026
Project Start: February 9, 2026

The MARAC model represents an evidence-based, coordinated approach to improving survivor safety through enhanced information sharing and multi-agency collaboration. Selected organizations will play a pivotal role in shaping IPV response in Toronto and beyond.
