The Toronto Region Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee (VAWCC) is a community-based, cross-sectoral committee that works together to improve community responses for women experiencing violence and their children. The aim of the VAWCC is to strengthen linkages and networks among existing community agencies and enhance inter-agency cooperation to address violence against women.

The WomanACT Health Committee provides an opportunity for health-care practitioners to share information about promising practices to prevent and respond to violence against women. The Health Committee membership includes key representatives from the health sector, including nurses, social workers, community health workers, public-health practitioners and staff from community health centres.
